We are very proud that our Rocky Mountain horses are registered with the Rocky Mountain Horse Association. We are avid trail riders and love to camp with our horses. We enjoy seeing and comparing other gaited horse breeds with our horses. We chose the Rocky Mountain Horse for our family because of their wonderful sweet easy natured temperament, extremely smooth gait, and their kind eye. In the journey to find your own gaited horse, we suggest you keep all your options open, learn all you can, and pick to please yourself.
Listed below are some of our favorite links.

Visit this site to learn more about the Rocky Mountain breed's background, hear the awesome gait, and obtain member information, news and events.
Greenwood Stable
We are where we are, with the horses we have today, thanks to Lori Greenwood and RaeLynn Sherff. I am blessed to have them both as best friends. And they do an awesome job of training and teaching!
American Farriers Association
Finding a farrier to shoe and trim your gaited horse is so important to maintaining that wonderful gait. In our relocations through out the years, we have found this site to be helpful. In Iowa, through this site, we found Jeff Ridley, then in Minnesota we found Terry Holst. We appreciate everything Jeff and Terry do and have done for us and our horses.
Gaits of Gold
This is Brenda Imus' website. Larry and I were fortunate to meet and trail ridden with Brenda Imus several times at Golden Hills Trail Rides and Resort in Raymondville MO. Brenda was a no nonsense person with excellent explanations and equipment for gaited horses of all breeds. Brenda has ridden Nikki on the trails, and loved her way of going. And, Brenda's comments about Larry's horse, Eboney: "if I were going to own a Rocky Mountain Horse, I'd want her!"

You can Train Your Horse to Do Anything
Shawna and Vinton Karrasch developed Target Training for horses. On Target Training is a breakthrough training method, based on proven principles of behavior modification. The reward reinforcement helps horses learn and works well in combination with other positive training methods. Roxy met Shawna and Vinton at Golden Hills in Raymondville MO in October 2001 and 2002, and was thrilled to spend quality time with them at Greenwood Stable and the Midwest Horse Fair in April 2002. We were also fortunate that Shawna was featured clinician at Northern Illinois Horse Fest in August 2004, and the 2005 Iowa Horse Fair.
